A year ago a friend of mine invited me to run a marathon with her. I had never been one to run. I thought that people who run for fun MUST be crazy. I would run if there was a purpose (get a child out of the road, soccer need to make a goal right?) You get the idea. In the back of my mind though I always had this dream, this vision to be a runner someday. So I said YES.
So began the training. First mostly walking with a little jogging. Then came more jogging less walking and finally I was running for 3 miles without stopping. That was a huge milestone for me. I made it to 13.65 miles in the training and then I felt like I was sacrificing too much of my family time. (Training in the summer for a marathon= not a great idea for a mom with littlish children) So I decided that it wasn't my time for a marathon. And I stopped running. I've been on and off running/exercising since last Aug. Now I have someone (or maybe many people) to be accountable to as I work on turning this body of mine into a fit and fabulous body. I'll keep track of what I eat and how I work out. I hope someone finds some inspiration to do something for herself. Exercise has been the best gift I have given me. From one hot momma to another
