I went over 100 Miles!!!

I went over 100 Miles

I am woman. Hear me ROOOOAAARRR~!

I pushed myself to the limit this month!

I went 125.99 MILES in the month of JUNE!!!!!

This mileage is from biking, running, walking, and the elliptical.

Never if my life would I have thought I could do this and I did!!!

You can do anything you put your mind to! I carried and gave birth to 7 kids and can still do this-you can too!!!

July, here I come!!!!!!!!!!!

Ran 3 Miles Today

I've been running a 1.5 miles in the community I live in. I mapped out another route in my mind last night to run today and happily it was 3 miles! I now know how to make it four miles for Thursday's run.

Some notes on running today:

1) Tuesday isn't a great day for running in the neighborhood as it is trash day and I get to smell everyone's trash. Yuck!

2) The new route has some new construction still. Not my favorite part- running by all the sweaty, dirty gross guys yelling "Slow down, honey!"

3) I have my water break mapped out...that is helpful!

4) The hills are huge and challenging, but I will win!

5) 85 degrees with a slight breeze feels nice normally, but when running - it may as well be the Mojave Desert! Next time, I'll wear shorts not black pants.

6) The breeze made me smell my own funky sweat. Ewwww

Dang it!

I ran 1.5 miles and half way through I ran into the community center to get some water and felt so nauseated that I ran to the bathroom to gain control. I smelled poop and lost it. Mostly dry heaves, thank goodness. *Pull your crap together, Shi*

I planned to go another 1.5 miles but I still feel like puking so I better not. DANG IT!

I have eight days that I can get a work out in before the hubby makes it home! I'm holding steady at 152. I just want to lose those two lbs that are haunting me. So I'm dedicated to stick to a strict calorie count ( which I've been slack on over the last few weeks) and doing at least an hour of some type of work out each day. I am worthy of this and will do all that is in my power to reach my goal!

I'm a naughty girl

But you know- it's a good naughty, even if I feel a smidget of guilt.

I have a person from my past who hurt my feelings long ago. Words were shared about how fat I was... in a nut shell. Time moved on and I came across this person recently.

He-she-it is fat. He-she-it is very fat. He-she-it is fatter than me.

And I danced a 10 minute jog when I found out.

My husband, who loves me, and wants me to be nice, just rolled his eyes and walked away. But I know (and he confessed when I was done dancing) he was a little tickled for me.

MY MOJO IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*and I promise to be nice, and to never share this event again. Except to myself, except in my diary, except to my mirror when I giggle uncontrollably.

Today!

This weekend I did little by way of exercise. I had wisdom teeth issues so migraines ruled for the time being.

Today was great! Even though I did not get a lot of good sleep, I woke up with my attitude changed and put my workout clothes on right away.

Wii Fit 30 mins- 127 calories
Treadmill 20 minutes- 121 calories
I was wearing my step counter all day and reached 5795 steps- 2.7 miles- 154 calories

Total for today-402 calories

I was watching an episode of a weight loss show, cannot remember what the name is... but the lady on it wanted to lose about 100 pounds, which is a little more than I want to lose, but around there would be fine. I will have to burn at least 959 calories a day, so I need to really focus on that. My first goal is to lose 30 pounds by christmas. I am being realistic this time around.

Monday

Done with wimpy workouts. That's all I have to say.

Sunday- didn't forget about Juneathon so I did 20 crunches. I won't bother counting those calories burned. Moving on....

Saturday

Despite being in a sick household and not feeling so hot myself, I pushed myself today and ran to the gym in 100 degree weather. I knew it was pretty warm, but thank goodness I didn't know HOW hot. I didn't know how far it was until later, but it was very hilly. At the gym I did some cardio and felt to sick to continue to we went home.

Friday through Monday

I was still focused on Juneathon!

Friday- a busy day filled with a birthday party, pool party and traveling. I did tread water for 20 minutes and did some leisure swimming for 1 1/2 hours. The swimming totaled to the calories burned score. After our trip (I packed my running gear) I ran 1.14 miles.

Where does the time go?

Summer break is here, and it's my time to really post. I told myself I would do it once a week during the school year- but really, when you have 175 kids all claiming to "really need you to..." what can you do?! But I love my job & I love those kids. Toss in the family, doctor appts, putting in a 30x30 garden, the death of a student that really shook me up, and everything else-- the last 2 months of school were busy, busy, busy.

But, I am back and will be posting MUCH more regularly!!

May 3rd I did a 12K in Spokane: Bloomsday. It was my 1st race ever. I'd done 10K's around Texas with my mom when Nathan was an infant, but nothing since. Tomorrow I am doing a 5K race here in my hometown.

My family and I are having a biggest loser contest- 5 of us- and the pot is almost 200$ and I'm gonna win it. Just so you know!

Wii Fit Thursday

Got a Wii for my hubby for Father's Day, but I also got myself a wii fit program. It was very nice, and a lot of fun. 30 minutes went by really fast.

Still doing the Juneathon! Thank goodness for that or I might not have gone to the gym today. It's been a super busy week for me and I'm kind of tired.

Tuesday I'm in Shock

Shocking my body is my goal so I can get past this plateau and kick it in the butt. I went up to level 8 on the elliptical for 45 minutes + arm blaster which took me to level 22. BUTT Kicker!! Or should I say BUTT BURNER? Speaking of butts, I strained mine during today's workout, luckily I have a chiropractor who puts me back together when I finish tearing it up at the gym. :)

Taking the challange!

I'm all in for the Juneathon! I've set a goal for 8 lbs this month. With this challange I'll have no choice but to burn off every calorie possible! Here are my stats since the first:
1st ~ 45 min bike, and 1 mile running (8min 5 secs) and p90x yoga (90 minutes)
2nd ~ 30 min elliptical, 40 min weights, and p90x legs &back, ab ripper X (75min)
3rd ~ 45 min bike, Kempo X
4th ~ 1hr elliptical, X stretch
5th ~ 30 min elliptical, 25 min treadmill
6th ~ 1hr 15min doing laps and running stairs at the track.
7th ~ did the standing calf raise 3 sets of 15
8th ~ 30 min running, 25 min bike, 45 min elliptical.
9th ~ 30 min elliptical, 45 min bike, 25 min weights
10 ~ 45 elliptical, 30 bike, 30 at the pool chasing kids in the water (that counts right?)
11th ~ 20 min elliptical, 20 jogging
12th ~ Just ran around getting things put together for my baby's 1st birthday
13th ~ I slacked, had a graduation party for my sister
14th ~ 1hr on elliptical
15th ~ 30 min treadmill, 30 min bike, 1 hr elliptical
16th ~ 30 min elliptical, 30 min weight training, 2 hours walking around the mall shopping (that totally counts!)

18th ~ I stripped down wallpaper, sanded, spackled, sanded again, whipped down the walls, painted, then caulked around my bathroom sink. Oh and removed a mirror and medicine cabinet. No real exercise today. But that was a lot of work!
19th ~ 30 min elliptical. Did the exercise of the day, crunches, scissors, bicycle exercise, vertical leg crunch, and reverse crunch
20th~ walked
21st ~ walked
22nd ~ 1hr elliptical
23rd ~ 45 min of the plyometrics DVD (kids started going crazy on me so I couldln't finish it). 30 min bike (8 miles) ran 8.5 min (1 mile) did weights then ran another mile in 8 minutes!
24th ~ nothing.
25th ~ 30 min bike, 30 elliptical

Monday Pushing Past the Plateau

I think the muscle memory kicked in a little so I did things different today and pushed myself a little harder. I will update this post throughout the day as I am now adding the 10 minute workout bursts at random times of the day. That helped me push through the last plateau.

Saturday I was Late, but I Did It!

Thank goodness I committed to do the Juneathon or I wouldn't have done as good this week. Today I was slow at getting my workout accomplished, but I did it late this evening after taking care of everything on my list for the day.

Note to self: "Quit working out on a full stomach!!!"

My husband and decided to go to the gym for the last hour it was open tonight. We shared the gym with two guys who were workout buddies. One was quite a noisy dude. He was lifting heavy weights while loudly yelping and huffing and puffing. It was really quite distracting. If I can hear him over the TV AND my personal ipod concert of the Gin Blossoms singing "Hey Jealousy"...point being those guys were pretty loud. All I could do was shake my head and laugh to myself. Poor guy, if you have to scream, you're pushing yourself too much.

55 days left

My husband is due to return in roughly fifty five days! To date I've dropped 35 pounds, I have 15 more to reach the goal I set for myself when he deployed in January. So my stratigy is to push myself to the max. Today I biked for 45 minutes, ran a mile in 8 minutes, then did 90 minutes of yoga. Whew am I exhausted! But it will be well worth it to see the suprise in his face when he comes off that plane.

I probably shouldn't have put off the running till this evening when it got dark on me, but life happens. I was up most of the previous night with a toddler who was sick. My 6 year old ran two laps with me and I ran the third by myself while the kids watched Wally in the truck- it was too dark for them to be out by then.
