FOUR Miles

I did it!!! I ran four EXHILARATING miles! I felt soooooo awesome! Next week, I'm going to move it up a bit. My shins don't hurt after running on soft earth, so this track around the pond it PERFECT for me. It is a beautiful run and I have my own private concert singing in my IPOD...who could ask for more?

We're moving next week so we're packing and cleaning. I won't count that as my week's calories so tonight I'm going to the gym with hubby to lift weights. I'll share those stats later.

Monday's RUSH

I packed the kids up with snacks and blanket and we went to a park and I ran around the track five times. I had no idea how far it was so I decided to do five laps. If it wasn't as far as I wanted to go, next time I'll do more. I also ran until it was too hot. It was 80 degrees outside with a cool breeze and lots of sunshine.

The kids picnicked in the field of buttercups and grass while the wind blew and the girls picked flowers. The park has a beautiful pond that the dirt track goes around. Most of the track is uphill. The older kids each ran around once while taking turns babysitting. My five year old autistic daughter ran once with me. She is quite a runner and I enjoy her cheerful attitude about running. It was nice to stop every lap and get a drink of water and answer questions. :)

Anyway, through the website mapmyrun.com I figured that the path around the pond was a little over half a mile, which is what I estimated it to be. Therefore, here are today's stats:

Run: Miles: 2.75 Calories: 275 Minutes: 60

Hopefully my supplements for my adrenals come in soon. Today was a beautiful day and with the windows open in the gym and the cool breeze made such a such a difference. My goal- to look great in a swimsuit this year! ;)

Tuesday Going Light

I am not quite sure what my deal is, but I have not been my normal self and have been tired and dragging a bit. Today was a lighter day. I'm taking it easy today and tomorrow and hope to be myself in a few days.

Colon Cleanse?

So, I was watching an infomercial, and they were talking about this colon cleanse.. And about how it could cause a lot of symptoms. Has anyone tried one of these? My husband is all about it, and wants to try it out, and I would like to as well, but I want to be sure to use something that works.

Any thoughts?

Smokin'

I was smokin' on the elliptical today and leaving my husband in a trail of my dust! LOL No, really he's probably faster, but I was on longer and went further. It's empowering. :) I went with my friend Kelly and my hot hubby. :)

Working out the legs from my run yesterday was great! I went with a friend and my hubby. I added a couple new tunes to the ipod which always helps keep me going.

Run This Evening

I spent the day painting and gardening with the kids. I waited until my husband came home and we all went to the track. I ran 2 miles and would have done three if it hadn't gotten so dark. I decided to run again on Saturday so I can get my three in. I feel GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Saturday's Run

We went antique store shopping yesterday. It was a beautiful, warm, sunshiny day. For lunch we had a picnic as a family when I decided to run around the pond on the trail. I ran with the kids for the first lap and for the second they trailed off from me and walked. It was about 1 1/2 miles and lots of fun!

My quads hurt this morning from the uphill running, but its a good hurt. :) I LOVED running on that quiet nature trail. What a blessing it was!

DOING IT!

Im finally doing the low carb diet, and detoxing. So far things are going well. I am at lunch-time and not feeling very hungry or anything like that. I am positive with my outlook, I have done this before and lost about 35 pounds in 3 months. I would like to do that again, but I am hoping to drop 20 pounds by July. I am very glad that I have finally started! I have been talking to myself about it now for almost 2 years!!!! Just in the last month, I have really rev'd myself up for this. It is not an easy diet, but it is very effective.

This is the jump-start I need!
Beginning weight: 223.4 5'4
Measurements: 45"/44"/47"

I am going to take pictures weekly to see if there is any sign of progress to the naked eye. (I wont be naked though FYI, lol) I will be in the same clothes every week in the picture for extra visual representaion.
I would LOVE to be at goal by the time my hubby leaves for his overseas destination....

Favorite Workout Song

A Great Wednesday Morning

I had a great workout this morning! I had a dream a couple of nights ago that they changed the gym equipment around in the morning, but I just hopped on the elliptical and wasn't surprised at all. Imagine my real surprise when I walked in the gym and it was switched around! How funny is that?
