Mon & Tues
>> March 31, 2009

ooooh, I'm rhyming today! Guess what? My 10's are getting loose so I put on a size 8 SKIRT today!!! YAY!!! Then I put on some size 8 shirts!!! WOW! I'm so excited!! BTW I also lost 3 more pounds.
I haven't "exercised" since Thursday, however, Saturday I was up and going 15 hours helping to cater a wedding. Then we spent the next two days on vacation at a Renaissance festival, camping, and being tourists. So, I counted that. I spent 6 hours alone walking the Ren Faire. :)
I'm hitting the gym in the morning! I'm motivated and FEEL GREAT!!!!!!
There's nothing like letting out some frustration at the gym. I upped my elliptical level to 7 and it went up to 20 with the arm blaster. Wow- what a work-out!
I'm reading 1776 by McCullough and my mind was in the battle at New York hundreds of years ago wondering what was going to happen next during the battle. (I'm a history buff-okay :) ) When I read that Martha Washington destroyed all the letters from her husband from that time forth I couldn't help but wonder if it was because he missed her so greatly that he was writing intimate loving things to her and she didn't want that in the history books? We can only imagine. :) Being a soldier's wife I know how much my husband misses me and am thankful for those "love letters". Anyway, those were some of my thoughts today on the elliptical. ;)

A Little bit about me, My name is Julie and i am a Stay at Home Mom to 4 Young Boys. Their ages are 6,4,2 and 7.5 Months. Shiloah graciously had allowed me to contribute to this blog in hope that it will help keep me motivated.
I have always been classed at overweight. After the births of my 1st and 2nd sons i was able to lose most of the weight. At the beginning of my 3rd pregnancy i was 160, and i wasn't to upset about it, It could have been better , but oh well. Well after he was born i was 170, then my husband and i started a chocolate chip cookie diet with milk, obviously that wouldn't help anyones weight. Within 3 months i jumped up to about 210 pounds! I tried to lose the weight and the closest i got was to about 202 Pounds. The i become pregnant with my 4th son, Thankfully i only gained a little bit of weight with him, and then after he was born i was down to 195 pounds. So lower then i was before i got pregnant but still not a healthy weight.
Since he has been born i have been tyring to lose weight with dieting, and exercising, however, when you live in a house full of chocolatholics its kindof hard, plus i cant seem to keep myself motivated to exercise for more then a day or two. However just over 2 weeks ago i went to the doctors for a check up, he is very concerned with my blood pressure, due to my weight.
So now my weight has become a health issue. So i decided something had to be done.
Since Last Monday i have been on a low card diet, as hard as it has been i have been trying to stick to it. I think the hardest has been cooking for the rest of my family but not being able to eat it. I have also banned cookies from our house. My husband is not aloud to make them, and to make sure he doesn't i wont buy any chocolate chips.
I have also been trying to exercise more, I dont really have an excuse not to exercise, we have a top of the line elliptical right in our home. I have been doing various fitness DVDs so i don't get bored with the same routine, every few days i switch them up. As well as i have been using our wii fit to track my exercises and weight.
I have also enlisted my husbands help in reminding me to exercise every night (well , almost ever night). Once the oldest 3 go to bed, he gets to watch the baby while i exercise.
So far iam down 6 Pounds~ to 190 ~ I am the lowest now then i have been since Feb 2007.
I am hoping that i can keep up the weight loss. My goal is to be about 150.
Every time i reach one of my goals (about every 10 pounds) if i can stay their for a week i get to go out and buy something. For instance, because i have reached 190, if i can stay their for a week then i can go and buy new printer ink so i can print my pictures.
I'll try and post my activities every few days and how the weight loss is going.
It is a rainy day here in North Carolina. I refused to NOT workout, but I would rather bundle up and get some website stuff done today. Tomorrow is going to be busy with my big party. I'm excited!

I had a great birthday on Monday. I hurt my back in the morning and called the chiropractor for a last minute adjustment. He gave it to me as my birthday gift- no charge!!! I teared up. That was so sweet!
That night Ben and I went to Red Lobster for dinner. Here is a picture of my outside of Red Lobster.
I'm working on sewing Renaissance dresses for the Renaissance Faire at the end of this month. I talked Ben into wearing one of those hot hunk romantic blouses! I'll share pics when I finish.
I've also been gardening and my squash is coming up quickly!

Welcome Julie to this group of Hot, HOT Mama's working out and losing weight! I'm excited to see your posts, my dear!

I met my friends at the gym. The electricity was out in our area of the power grid, but we decided to see what we could do. We knew if anything we could lift weights.
When we got there sure enough the electricity was off, but we had two large windows bringing in plenty of light. While the treadmills were out of commission, happily the ellipticals worked but without the weights and so did the bikes! The kids couldn't watch TV, so after milling around for a bit they went to my truck and watched a movie.
