Negatives
- I have asthma
- I had 7 kids (8 pregnancies) ages 12- 1
- I have kidney problems, bladder problems, and have had depression
- I have adrenal fatigue
- I have an hormonal imbalance that affects my energy level
- I have an under functioning thyroid
- My husband is in Iraq
- I don't have very much "me" time.
- I have horrible itching that used to be exacerbated by sweat and heat
- I feel pain at times while exercising
Despite all this....I want to be strong. I want to be healthy. I want to get well. I want to lose weight. And I want to surprise my husband and prove to myself that through it all and despite the hardships I endure from time to time, I can do it. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." and He has.
Positives
(Things that keep me motivated and that remind me that pain is gain.)
- I want to be strong enough to run or carry a child if an emergency or dangerous situation were to occur.
- I love feeling that runner's high after working out! (Running is cocaine for the soul.)
- I am stronger.
- I am healthier.
- I lost 30 pounds and still losing; and went from a size (tight) 18 to (loose) 12.
- I love the positive attention I get.
- My confidence has been boosted.
- I have endurance to go and go. It amazes me that I can run here or there and not even notice...or cook and clean, work out, and cook and clean and then organize! Whew!
- I love were I am in life and am happy with where I am going.
- I am so excited to surprise my amazing husband!
I don't know if these help, but I thought I would share that life is not easy and especially with health problems, but they are there to be a trial. What we do with our trials is what makes or breaks us. :)
Sending lots of energy your way!

Hey Shi!
Sounds like you have a great positive list. I love it. I really need to get positive, and consentrate on myself more. I sort of lost it last month, and need to "start over". Anyway, I loved your post, thanks!
Your negatives sound so much like mine...the rash when hot or workinhg out..depression...etc...amazing. But I am with you....we need to go with the positive and when we are depressed, stressed...not to reach for the food. Great article.
Thanks, Teri, glad it helped!
Barb, I know we both suffer from similar ailments. The itching is caused by infection within the body. I'll bet if you got your blood tested it would be similar to mine.
